HOW TO MAKE A Classic Margarita

This is where it all started. Very simple recipe here: tequila, lime juice and orange liqueur.

  • Classic, tart & rich

  • Pair with a nice sit in the sun

Sips

  • For the orange liqueur, many people use triple sec but I suggest Curaçao because it is a little bit richer and stands up well against the tart lime.

  • I prefer using a reposado tequila but use your favorite

  • Salt half of the glass so you have the option to drink with or without as you enjoy the cocktail (plus it looks really cool)

Tips

  1. Cut a lime in half and rub along one side of the glass. (From the rim to about a third of the way down the side)

  2. Roll the lime side of the glass in coarse salt

  3. Then in a shaking tin, pour in 2 oz. of reposado tequila, 1 oz. orange Curaçao & 1 oz. of fresh lime juice

  4. Add ice and shake your tin to chill and slightly dilute.

  5. Strain into glass with ice.

  6. Garnish with lime wheel.

Classic Margarita Recipe

  • 2 oz. (60 ml) Reposado Tequila - I use Milagro Reposado Tequila

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) Marie Brizard Orange Curaçao

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) fresh lime juice

  • Salted rim and lime wheel garnish
