The enzoni

Today's cocktail is the Enzoni! Muddled grapes balance Campari's sharp bitterness and make for an extremely easy-to-drink cocktail. This crowd favorite has become a modern classic. I'll stick with the standard build for the Enzoni, but will change things up in a second drink called the Frozoni - a frozen variation that adds bubbly wine! Hope you enjoy both of these recipes.   • Chill that glass!

  • Muddle in a smaller tin

Tips

  1. Start with a small cheater tin and muddler

  2. Fill with 5(ish) grapes

  3. Pour in the 1 oz. of The Botanist Islay Dry Gin

  4. Then, pour in the 1 oz. Campari

  5. Next, pour in the 3/4 oz. of fresh lemon juice

  6. Lastly, add in the 1/2 oz. semi-rich simple syrup

  7. Add ice & shake for 15 seconds

  8. Double strain in a chilled low ball glass

  9. Garnish & Enjoy!

The Frozoni Recipe

  1. Start with a cheater tin and immersion blender

  2. Fill with 5(ish) frozen grapes

  3. Pour in the 1 oz. of The Botanist Islay Dry Gin

  4. Then, pour in the 1 oz. Campari

  5. Next, pour in the 3/4 oz. of fresh lemon juice

  6. Then, add in the 1/2 oz. semi-rich simple syrup

  7. Next, add in about a 1/2 cup of crushed ice

  8. Grab your immersion blender and blend till smooth

  9. Top with 3 oz. of Prosecco

  10. Give mixture another quick blend

  11. Pour into a chilled high ball

  12. Garnish & Enjoy!

The enzoni Recipe

  • 5 seedless grapes (muddled)

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) The Botanist Islay Dry Gin

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) Campari

  • 3/4 0z. (22.5 ml) fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 oz. (15 ml) semi-rich simple syrup (1.5:1 sugar:water)

  • Grape for garnish

The Frozoni Ingredient List

  • 5 seedless grapes (frozen)

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) The Botanist Islay Dry Gin

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) Campari

  • 3/4 0z. (22.5 ml) fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 oz. (15 ml) semi-rich simple syrup (1.5:1 sugar:water)

  • 3 oz. (90 ml) Prosecco (or other sparkling wine)

  • Grape for garnish
